This gadget is a total of 9 1/2 inches long, measuring a half inch shorter than its successors. However, the penetrating shaft (the part that matters) is the same length on all three models. The 2nd and 3rd versions just have a longer base. I was also impressed by the girth of this vibrator. It fills me up very nicely. This instrument is made from a popular jelly material. I suggest using a condom with this item in order to preserve the material as well as protect you if you have sensitive skin. (Although I sometimes forget to use a condom and I've never had any problems.)

Ok, now let's get to the fun part- the vibrations... From the moment I pushed the power button for the first time, I immediately understood why this item is pricier than most cheaply made vibrators. The vibrations and sensations from a $25 rabbit vibe just don't compare. OH MY GOSH! This thing can really hum. (The small clitoral extension branching off from the shaft is fittingly designed to resemble a humming bird.)

Once I get this baby inside of me, I can really appreciate the beauty of its design. The combination of the pleasure beads and shaft rotation along with its large girth and soft texture make for some really intense orgasms. It seems like I stay wet for hours when I use this thing. Other than the obvious change in color from pink to blue, the major difference between versions 1 and 2 is that the second version has more functions. In a nutshell, you get a lot more speeds and patterns of pulsation and vibration with this model.

However, there is a slight trade-off here. The increase in features has caused the intensity of the vibrations to be compromised. Also, the shaft on the latter version has a little less girth than its predecessor. Sometimes it's hard to make a great product better. Given the choice between intense vibrations and tons of cool features- I'll take the more intense vibrations.

On the other hand, everyone is different. If you don't need earth quaking vibrations and you love being able to experience a variety of sensations- the Decadent Indulgence 2 may be exactly what you are looking for.

The additional changes are more subtle: The shaft's tip has been slightly widened in girth- an improvement over the previous edition. Also, the latest version seems to have a stronger motor, like the original version.

I contacted the manufacturer to find out if there were any additional changes that I might be missing. I was told that the rotating beads have a tendency to jam up occasionally on the 2nd model. Apparently, this problem has been corrected.
